Its raining again. Heavy thunderstorms predicted for the rest of the day. My pa is flying in to Kennedy Airport and I think it might be delayed. Hope not, I have a new watch for him for his birthday and didn't want to send it by post. I love tiffany & co. Hope he does.

Haven't been near the computer for a few hours. I have a dreadful sore throat. Feels like razor blades. I hope it has gone before the weekend. I have some serious shopping to do!!!!

Found Gina online yesterday. A Designer ladies shoe site, I have seen some of their shoes worn by the celebs on CBS - Kelly Osbourne for one. The london store has just gone to sale. Have never been to their London store but I wouldn't mind going to Dubai. A bit above my current budget but hey a girl can dream.

I got another email from Cinderellashoes last night (and there is a link) here. Was a bit freaked out when I realised that just as I was browsing Ginas' designer shoes in london, the email was addressed from a Gina Hennessy, or just Gina. Gina is the founder of Cinderella Shoes Ltd. Different people, different companies but quite a coincidence, right at the time I was browsing the london store. It seems Cinderellashoes, have reduced their range of Bags by 50% and most have sold out so they wondered if I'd let people now about the sale.

Hot again. Hot and terribly sticky. Just as well I'm on my vacation at the moment. No more work or assignments for a whole month.. :)

Thunderstorms here today which is just as well as it's been so hot lately.

The weather doesn't look like its getting any better until the weekend which means Aspen (my cat) has decided to stay at home. He's not a shoe lover so to speak but he does spend most of his time playing with the bubblewrap or packaging when they first arrive.

Looking forward to the weekend, supposed to be going shopping with sofie to Waterloo Premium Outlets as the sales are now well under way. I need to get back into running and want to join a gym so I'm going to get some size 13 (although sometimes I'm size 12 for sports shoes) ASICS Gel-Kayano from the Footlocker store they have there. Apparently they have 25% off instore when you spend over $75 so I think I'll use some of my savings for that.

Have sent an email to both Cinderellashoes and Fiffibelle to see if they want me to write some articles on their ranges. I might even get some coupon offers to pass on to you guys. Only joking... Well you can't blame a girl for trying.

Summer bargains

Back to my new friends at Cinderella Shoes, I've been sorting through their summer range of sling backs and slip ons. I must say the shoe search facility in the top right corner of their site is pretty darn neat. Type in anything and a little image of the product appears in the expandable menu. Lol, I'm easily pleased I know.

Melanie is a must for the summer. The hand made man made sole is perfect for those long walks over the sand with its dulcet shades of tans making you feel romantic. I love soft leather shoes. Ideal for those walks with the one you love and unrestrictive for those trists under the board-walk. At 25 euros' / 35 dollars you can't go wrong this summer.

I love slingbacks and I must say I'm pleased with the fifibelle range so far.

Didn't tell ya where I was yesterday.

Went to the local mall and met sofie (friend from work). She's dating a guy and its getting pretty heavy so we had a bit of a tit for tat exchanging all the gos on what's working and what isn't. She's definately into him and I'm well proud of her cos she's starting to be sensible - SOMETHING sofies' never been. Spent ages looking around for Micael Jackson CDs, I'm not a huge fan but I do have Thriller on CD so think now is the time to get some of the less mainstream hits; bought 'The Time Traveler's Wife' - a book by Audrey Niffenegger and Isla Fishers Confessions of a Shopaholic. I love the film. It's only loosly based on the theme of the book where Rebecca - (Fisher) originally lived in London in the book but the film is set in New York; but it works quite well. My only reservation is that in my imagination Luke Brandon was taller and more clean-cut but I'd still invite him over for coffee.....

Went back to mine, had a few tequilla's, watched the movie then zonked out on the sofa. Sofie must have left at around midnight but the next I kew it was 4am, Maxie was barking to be let out with Nightline on in the background.

Turns out the few tequilla's was a bottle of shiraz, rose wine and half a bottle of tequilla. Probably why I'm only posting now...

Got an email from Cinderellashoes yesterday (I think I'm on their mailing list) about their large size shoe sale - Assunta has 30 dollars off. Their womens hand bags all have 50% off so I bought lucy and marion. The photo is Lucy. So I got two for one.

Going to hunt around for a bit before I get anything else but as the sales seems to be on all over and it nearly the end of the summer season I think now's the time to spend the $300 I got in overtime last month. (well that and expenses).

Italian Couture. I like the new look website at Cinderellashoes. They seem to have had a massive facelift since the last time I was there. Where did all the shoes come from? There's hundreds, seems everything is categorized from Heel Height to Italian Styles. There is a nice listdown the left sid for US shoes as well.

Think I might see if they want some advertising space on here!!!

Actually I didn't realize the whole site is Large Sizes. I must have missed that last time.

I bought a pair called Assunta from them last spring (Size 13 US). They are like ballerina shoes but with a multi-colored design. Dead comfortable. Reminded me of bonnie scotland, kinda like a tartan paint. Seems they have a larger range now so I'll update ya when I get back with my morning bagel and coffee. Can't beat starbucks...

Keep getting side tracked (maybe its the heat) but Tall Girl Shop has a sale on at the moment. Their Neva cable Tank sweater for $39.88 is making me think that I need to get something for the party I'm at on Sunday. It's a work related event so I don't want to look gawdy or too forward and with the heat at the moment I think that might be just whats needed.

Don't want to make too much of an impression on the boss!!

Next in the UK, (they are a high street brand name - visited one in London last June), are an example of another who seems to be missing out with the Size conversion to US opportunity.

The ongoing quest to find Large Size Shoes

Couldn't sleep last night, still becoming accustomed to the lively big apple. It is truly stunning with people out and about 24/7. So I started compiling a list of sites that deliver large size shoes to the United States.

Its amazing at the minute though - how many sales are on. I knew things were bad, but it is sale, sale, sale - which means bargins for us shoe lovers.

Anyway, getting back to my list, I am going to group them by country so that wherever you are you can hopefully get your hands on some of these.

The only issue with this is that some, for example the better desginers from Europe and the Far East seem to be missing out on marketing their shoes to those of us in America. It's a simple process - convert the european size to US Women's shoe size using the US common scale to give the accurate size.

I know the FIA (Footwear Industries of America) has a slightly different working but surely if you say you are exporting to the US you'd take the time to offer different sizes.

Take this search for example - large+size+shoes+deliver+to+united+states

It comes back with a number of european sites that don't cater to us. Which is a shame, because some of these still have decent shoes.

If any of you don't know how to measure shoe size the mathematical equation is

female shoe size (common) = 3 x last length in inches-22.5

Is it me or has the world gone mad. Zappos Pleaser USA Amour 03 has size 16 shoes that look like there's a poodle sitting on it. I mean if you're going to sell the shoe.... SELL the shoe.

Anyway at $45.00 lets hope the shoe is better than that picture.

In red it looks dreadful but at least the baby pink satin version might be worth a second look.

Hello fellow shoe lovers

I've been travelling a bit lately and so it's taken me awhile to get back to blogging. In the past I would spend most of the afternoon blogging when I first discovered wordpress but this blogger site through google seems just as good, and easy to integrate with my online calendar as well.

So I think to get this all started I'll begin putting together a list of sites I've found, mail order companies I've used and pretty much anything else about those lovely shoes. Feel free to post comments or email me, this blog is very new but I'm interested mainly in large size shoes (I'm a size 13) and obviously clothes, hand bags, jewellery - all the accessories a gal needs. I think I might even get back to using twitter a bit more now that I've found a little app that works on my phone, but even with twitter I still prefer to vent my frustrations and spread the word via my blog.

Have just noticed as I'm writing this that Lushshoes in the UK seems to have gone out of business. There's a nice message saying they'll be back when the exchange rate has gone back up but I think it might be for good. Bit of a shame really, I liked browsing their UK range.

Anyway, going out in abit so I'll add the list later and we can move past the introductions. Thanks for calling...............
